MOSA NDLOVU
Born and Raised in Dawn Park – Boksburg, in the East Rand of Johannesburg. Raised further in Naledi Extension 2 – Soweto, and currently is a Resident student in Potchefstroom, The North West.
“Art for me has always been more of an obligation than it’s been a desire to express myself, my thoughts & ideas, my creativity or my feelings. This means that anything I have ever created by my hands or the words from my mouth was as a result of a deeper yearning, which mostly would make me feel as if the creativity wasn’t coming from me. I’ve always felt this way from a young age, I’m just at a point where I’m no longer resisting, and now I’m just surrendering to the call… allowing the art to flow out of me. So I wouldn’t say that I’ve become a creative, I just- am.”
To name a few, Mosa Ndlovu is a DJ, a Photographer, an Orator and a Writer, though his newly founded Profession as an Events-Manager and Organiser has brought all his learnt skills and honed talents forward together to form a new thing (Isaiah 43:19) which has glamorously presented itself in the form of his social & entertainment events company- Blue Elephant Radio. Through the intention of non-intentionalism, Mosa has create a hub where he utilises all his skills at simultaneous interactions with one another, and this is reflected in his ever-changing roles at said events, where he engages as The Dj, The Photographer, The Marketer, The MC and The Overseeing Manager.
“Another reason why I feel strongly that nothing I have done, or I do from here on out comes from me because the way it’s all happening can only be dedicated to the God that I serve the Lord Jesus Christ.”
He draws inspiration from a variety of sources, especially People, The Visual Arts, Stories, Situations, Films, his past and his future selves, and of course Music. For Mosa, Music is an integral part of the daily life, and songs, sound, tunes… have all been keys to his personal and artistic growth, as he feels blessed to always find his way to the best that creatives of his generation have to offer, inciting the feeling of hope within him as those creatives are able to put together historic pieces of music that aide him towards tapping in-through to the fullest of his own power; and so, Blue Elephant Radio is born, and all about the Sounds for the Sentient.
“My wish is for my creations to uplift, educate, revitalise, motivate, and all elevate people regardless of their demographic disposition and ultimately remind them of who they are as Children of God.”
His events company, Blue Elephant Radio- is a community driven organisation that truly seeks to make a positive impact towards our societies at large, and across the globe, as this world and its formidable occupants lean towards the propagation of agendas that disorient, confuse and make everyone listening forget who they truly are, and because of this, he wishes for all that he creates to serve as reminders for us… before it’s too late.
“I’d like to believe my masterpiece is yet to come.”
From a much younger age, Mosa has been known to prescribe the concept of ‘Never Being, Always Becoming’ which arose from a deeper understanding that we all are infinite spirits and as a result we never are, but are always becoming- Always learning, Always shifting, Always dying, Always living and Always creating. In words, he would argue his masterpiece is what is yet to come and that is what truly defines the greatness of it all; the idea that there is always more to look forward to. That is the message he would boldly carry into the world, now, and even for generations more to come.
